Please Pray for my Family in the Dominican Republic

Post by maestrob » Tue May 04, 2021 11:58 am

We have many immediate family members in Santo Domingo, the capitol of the Dominican Republic, which is the larger half of the island of Hispaniola, which they share with Haiti.

They have all been vaccinated with the Chinese vaccine, Sinovac, which is barely 50% effective at preventing infection, although WHO studies have indicated that it prevents hospitalization & death 100%.

Predictably, we just learned that exactly 50% of them are now showing symptoms of covid, with one niece being bedridden. She lives with her 79-yr.-old mother, who at that age is quite vulnerable.

Won't everyone here please take a moment to remember them all in your thoughts and prayers?

Thank you.

Thanks, gentlemen.

Will keep you posted.

So far, my niece forced herself to go to work yesterday, even while shivering and nearly fainting from lack of oxygen.

She has a cruel boss, and this is not America, so she has no protection from abuse the way we have here, even though she works for an American company.

She should be quarantining. Absolutely.

Her brother and his family all are staying home for now.

Almighty God, we ask that you see Brian's family through this time and bless them. I would have responded earlier, but weather damages knocked me offline for three days.

Thank you, David.

I suspected that you might have suffered some damage from the recent bad weather. Glad to know you're OK.

Good news!

Thank you for your prayers and good wishes.

Everybody has recovered from their symptoms and tested negative yesterday.

Symptoms were of a cold only.
