Bari Weiss: What it Means to Choose Freedom

The excellent and brave Ms Weiss is addressing a Jewish group in NYC (25 February). She throws a punch at 'educated', institutionalized antisemitism and the New York Times. This incredibly articulate woman is coming out... with all guns blazing. Recently she spoke at the inauguration speech at the brand new University of Austin, Texas, along with their donors and supporters. Professor Ferguson made the speech and acknowledged the work of Bari Weiss. He said that in the 1920s the educated elites of German universities were right wing - and we all know where that went. Today the same educated elites are left wing and the possibilities for implacable bigotry grow exponentially - not least because of their propagandizing of the younger generations. Antisemitism in left wing-dominated universities is a growing menace. Well, who knew??!! I'd like to see Ms Weiss go further and say, "Jews just aren't the right kind of victims".

Dear god, we are looking at the most pernicious ideologies in the western world in my lifetime right now. Mediocrities are thriving and gifted people are on the run. The McCarthy era lives.
