Actor Harry Dean Stanton: "Paris, Texas"

Here's the place to talk about DVDs (or VHS) films and movies you have seen on television and recommend or don't recommend. Discuss actors and scores, too.

Actor Harry Dean Stanton: "Paris, Texas"

Post by Lance » Mon Mar 15, 2021 4:50 pm

I saw the movie Paris, Texas the other day and thought it to be outstanding. I have never given much attention to Harry Dean Stanton, but was so enamoured with his work in this film I wanted to know more about him. In 2013, adopt films [ADPT8] came out with an autobiographical DVD entitled "Harry Dean Stanton: Partly Fiction." It arrived today, unseen by yours truly so far. Comments about it: "Warm, wise and wonderful." "A compelling collage of a man who has been ubiquitous in American films for over a half century." Do others here know about the work of this actor?
