"Withnail and I"

I've posted this before, but it's worth a second visit because it's just so contemporary. Absolutely hilarious satire about drug culture, British attitudes, non-binary sexuality and so much more. Very droll. The British at their finest in self-awareness. The comedy keeps coming but, as with most very good satire, there are sad truths - and the film makes us aware of these.

George Harrison was an Executive Producer and part-financed "Withnail and I".

The closing scene from Hamlet's speech to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, "What a piece of work is a man", from Richard E. Grant, is the highlight of the film. He's an absolutely superb actor and I just love his work. Even if you don't watch the whole film do scroll forward to that final speech. (Of course, it should be "nor woman neither" and not 'women'.)
