Here's the place to talk about DVDs (or VHS) films and movies you have seen on television and recommend or don't recommend. Discuss actors and scores, too.

"Shake Hands With the Devil" is one of the very best British films I've ever seen. Directed by Michael Anderson and the story is about the IRA 'troubles' in Dublin in the 1920s, just before the Treaty. Glorious cinematography, taut and intelligent direction, tremendous acting (Cagney and a stellar British cast) and a script you really need to listen to because it's just that good. Full of the ambiguities of loyalties and relationships during a time of hatred and violence. And a stellar restoration.
