Never seen it before yesterday. The first of two celebrations of the Sixties decade I have on my TCM watchlist, the other being Michelangelo Antonioni’s Blow-Up, also from 1966.
Beautifully restored by Criterion. Now streaming on the TCM app, which I have just begun using. The ending will put a spoke in the wheel of anybody who supports the recent retrograde Dobbs Decision.
Coming soon from my TCM French New Wave binge fest will be Anna Karina in Jacques Rivette's 1966 La religieuse (The Nun). I have never seen it but heard it created a scandal among the revanchists that resided in France back then.
