I had read the book so figured I didn’t need to see the movie.
How wrong I was! This picture, streaming this month on TCM’s app, has to be the great director, John Ford’s masterpiece.
Great script, acting, soundtrack, and the stunning cinematography by Gregg Toland held my eyes to the screen the entire time.
I can’t believe I had never seen this iconic film. Haven’t seen Gone with the Wind either but that will change later this month.
