Penelope Fitzgerald: The Blue Flower (1995)
Reading now. I decided to give this strange-sounding fictional take on the life of the life of the German Romantic poet Novalis a spin after being pretty much floored a couple months ago by the virtuosity of Fitzgerald's 1978 novel The Bookshop.
