Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie: The Thing Around your Neck
Obvious influence in this story collection is Joyce's Dubliners and Anderson's Winesburg, Ohio. The tales are very good, but do not, perhaps could not, even begin to approach the power, sweep and emotional impact of Ngozi Adichie's remarkable trifecta of novels.
